HEEEEY Mo Mo...
Follow the NY Hammers on twitter, Spurs game will be live.
Take the F train downtown, get off at Carroll Gardens and youll be on smith street. Great bars along there, no tourists. Brooklyn social was my fucking favourite when I was there.

The New Yorkers I know are a bit ambivalent about us Brits these days - don't say I said nothing.

Rudy's Dive Bar.
Beer and a whisky chaser $5.
Proper old shithole bar, seats held together with gaffa tape etc.
Best bar in the world.

What Hatred said. Plus, you get a free hotdog with every drink.
BUT, don't follow his instructions on how to get there, whatever you do.

We watched the last game of last season there:- Smithfield Hall,138 W 25th St
Surprising numbers in there that day, must've been minimum 50 Hammers.

Clearly the first raghead to walk in there in it's 120 year existence.

Red Lion Bleecker St for West Ham? I think that's the boozer I was in last Christmas, me and the kids watched us draw with Villa. Lots of different clubs represented but by far the largest was WHU.

Red Lion for West Ham and a decent burger. Mind you they also support a load of other clubs.
New York can be done in less than 2 days. Get the train to Philly for a day, maybe Washington for a day.

I watched us get beat 4-1 by Spurs in there last year and it was still a great experience. Mental to find a bar in New York full of West Ham fans and colours. The cheer when we scored our consolation was huge as was Bubbles being sung.
As for New York itself, some truly amazing sights but far too relentless. Give me a hammock in Barbados any time.

Best bar near Times Square is Jimmy's Corner, just for a few beers, especially if you are at all interested in boxing. Even if you aren't it's proper Noo Yoyck.
